BestPainterInDenver.com ("the Site") provides a free questionnaire that matches homeowners with independent painting contractors ("Painters") operating in the Denver metro area. We are a referral service, not a painting contractor, and we are not a party to any contract between a homeowner and a Painter.
Painter listings are compiled from public sources, including Google Business Profile ratings and review counts, and from information Painters submit to us directly. We make reasonable efforts to keep this information current but do not guarantee its accuracy. Always verify a Painter's license, insurance, and bonding before hiring.
Match results are generated by an automated ranking formula described on our homepage. No Painter can pay to change its position within match results or city rankings.
Use of the Site is at your own risk. We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law and are not liable for any dispute, damage, or dissatisfaction arising from work performed by a Painter you contacted through the Site.
We collect only what's needed to route your quote request: the answers you give in the matching questionnaire and the email address you provide when contacting a Painter or us directly.
When you request a quote, your request and contact email are shared only with the specific Painter(s) you chose to contact. We do not sell or rent contact information to third parties, and we do not share it with Painters you didn't select.
We do not display or collect personal phone numbers on this Site. All communication with our team runs through bestrooferdenver@gmail.com.
We use standard, privacy-respecting analytics to understand traffic patterns and do not build advertising profiles on visitors. You may request deletion of any information we hold about you by emailing us.
This Site is free for homeowners and is supported by two revenue sources: participating Painters pay a fee when a homeowner contacts them through a match, and sponsors fund placements outside of match results (site banners, guide callouts, and a Sponsors page).
Neither revenue source affects match order or city-ranking order. Rank is computed solely from a Bayesian-weighted average of each Painter's public rating and review count, plus how well a Painter's stated services match your questionnaire answers. A Painter cannot pay to appear higher, and a sponsor cannot pay to appear inside a match result.
Sponsor placements are visually distinct from match results and are labeled as sponsor content wherever they appear.
City pages and match results are ordered using a Bayesian-weighted average: WR = (v ÷ (v+m)) × R + (m ÷ (v+m)) × C, where R is a Painter's average rating, v is its review count, C is the mean rating across Painters in that city, and m is a weight constant of 400 reviews. This is deliberately conservative, a Painter needs a substantial, sustained review history before its own rating meaningfully moves its position away from the local average. A handful of five-star reviews cannot outrank an established Painter with hundreds of solid ones.
Painters without a public Google or Yelp rating are listed for reference but are never ranked or scored, we do not estimate, average, or invent a rating for them.
Match results additionally weight a Painter's stated services, HOA experience, price tier, and typical turnaround against your specific questionnaire answers. We do not publish exact rank numbers on city pages, order reflects the formula, but we intentionally avoid a numbered leaderboard that invites gaming.
